5 Must-Haves to Help Your Baby Sleep Comfortably

Wow! Everyone seems to think they know better. Your mother-in-law blames your sleepless nights on the fact that your baby is too cold. Because when you pick up your baby after a night at her place, he apparently slept through the night! Yeah right, just a lucky break, you think to yourself. And we all have that one friend who buys all the latest and most expensive gadgets and is convinced your baby doesn’t sleep well because you didn’t buy the lamp that emits womb sounds and spreads that comforting scent. Yeah, right! Or your neighbor who means well but insists her kids always slept perfectly and that it’s probably because you spoil your baby too much and shouldn’t pick him up at night.

Nice advice, but what do you really need to help your baby sleep well? Of course, the love of mom and/or dad, a room with a comfortable temperature, and a full tummy—but we also have 5 items that might just help your baby get a good night’s rest.

  1. Sleep sack to cocoon comfortably
For nine months, your little one was safely inside your belly, used to feeling your body warmth and being close to you. Babies want to keep that feeling after birth, and since you can’t carry your baby around all day—you already have sore muscles and back pain—letting your baby sleep in a sleep sack is best. Warm, secure, and safe.

  2. Blankets — are those old-fashioned?
You might think, what do I need a blanket for? Just thinking about a blanket might take you back to your grandma’s house, tucked under three wool blankets with a sheet that mysteriously disappears in the middle of the night. No thanks! But for babies, it’s different. With a blanket, you can tuck your little one in snugly—there’s that cozy feeling again—and it limits their movement while providing security. In short: a real must-have!

  3. Fitted sheets, the nicest basic
Yes, a fitted sheet doesn’t need much explanation—it keeps your baby’s mattress clean, is comfortable, and can be washed endlessly. Add it to your baby checklist right away!

  4. Blanket — but which one?
Oh dear, if you search Google for baby blankets, you get countless hits within seconds. It’s easy to get overwhelmed. How do you choose the best blanket for your (soon-to-be) baby? Knitted blankets are great for winter babies and also perfect in early spring and late fall, especially if lined—they keep your baby nice and warm. Expecting a summer baby? Go for light muslin or stretchy jersey blankets. These have a lower TOG rating and are ideal for warmer seasons. One less worry!

  5. Mosquito net
This isn’t an absolute must, but it definitely deserves a place on this list. A mosquito net gives your baby that cozy feeling again. Plus, it instantly transforms your baby’s room from bare to snug! And with endless color options, I bet you’ll find your favorite.

  • Motherhood without filters: why mums need support, not perfection

Motherhood without filters: why mums need support, not perfection

Motherhood is often shown as something natural, as if everything just falls into place. But every mother knows reality is very different. It is beautiful, intense, exhausting, loving and sometimes completely overwhelming all at once. That is why what mothers need most is each other. The image of the perfect mother On social media we often see calm mothers, peacefully sleeping babies and perfectly styled homes. But these images never show the full reality. The sleepless nights, the doubts and the moments of feeling completely overwhelmed are rarely visible. This is why many mothers feel alone, even when they are not. Real life is not perfect and that is okay Every mother does things differently. Every baby is different. There is no single right way to do motherhood. There is only what works for your family. Motherhood is not a manual. It is something you learn as you go. Why comparison feels so heavy Comparing yourself to others often feels harmless, but it can be emotionally draining. We tend to think others are doing better, while we only see a small highlight of their lives. What mothers really need Understanding, not judgment. Simple words like “me too” or “you are doing your best” can mean everything. Being kind to yourself There is no perfect way to be a mother. Good enough truly is enough. Together instead of alone Motherhood is not a competition. It is a community. A place where we support each other, share honestly and feel understood. In the end, all mothers want the same thing: to love their child and do their best in their own way.

The cutest Jollein Toys for babies from 0 to 1 year

A baby’s first year is a time full of growth and wonder. Every day, your little one learns something new: reaching, rolling, listening, looking, and feeling. The right toys can make this journey of discovery safe, fun, and stimulating. At Jollein, you’ll find toys perfectly suited to this special stage. The collection combines soft materials, calming colors, and clever designs that support your baby’s development. Safety and Materials Jollein toys are designed with little hands in mind. Every item is made from safe, high-quality materials that feel pleasant to touch. The soft colors and natural fabrics fit perfectly into any nursery and bring a sense of calm to daily play and learning moments. What makes these toys even more special is that they grow with your baby. From the first weeks when your little one mostly observes and listens, to the stage of grabbing, rolling, and exploring – Jollein offers something appropriate for every phase. Pacifier cloths Pacifier cloths are often a baby’s very first favorite companions. They provide comfort, familiarity, and security and can be taken everywhere: in the crib, on the couch, or on walks in the stroller. Jollein comfort blankets are made from soft materials like teddy fabric and velour, perfect for snuggling and holding close. Many designs also include small tags, buttons, or rattles that stimulate the senses and help develop fine motor skills. How cute is the Little Star Pacifier cloth? Rattles Around three months, babies discover that they can grasp and move objects. A rattle is the perfect toy at this stage: lightweight, easy to hold, and with a gentle sound that sparks curiosity. Recently, wrist and foot rattles have also become available. These little rattles attach to your baby’s arms or legs, so every movement creates a soft sound. This makes everyday motions even more fun and engaging while your baby spends hours exploring touch and sound. They help develop fine motor skills, hearing, and hand-eye coordination in a playful way, keeping your little one active and entertained. Baby Gyms and Activity Cubes A baby gym is an essential for the first months. Your baby lies underneath, looks up, and reaches for the soft hanging toys. This naturally stimulates motor skills and coordination. Jollein offers various baby gym toys that can be attached to the gym – from cute animals to soft rattles. Which one is your favorite? Later in the first year, an activity cube is a wonderful next step: a block full of textures, shapes, and sounds that keeps your baby engaged and learning. The Animal Friends Activity Cube is a perfect example – educational, safe, and fun for the second half of the first year. Baby Mobiles A baby mobile brings calm and fascination to the nursery. The moving figures capture attention and stimulate vision, while the gentle rotation has a soothing effect. Hang it above the crib or playpen for a quiet moment in between activities. Jollein baby mobiles are real eye-catchers in the nursery and look adorable under a mosquito net. Teething Rings Around four to six months, the first teeth often start to appear. This can be uncomfortable for your baby, but a teething ring can help relieve the discomfort. Jollein teething rings are made from safe materials such as soft silicone or natural rubber, allowing your little one to chew and explore safely. They support both teething and the development of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
